FINALE SHOW Status Update: Just wanted to let you know that I’ve been working around the clock to get SCR 171 released. It’s taking MUCH longer than I had anticipated.
Please be patient. I promise you, it will be worth the wait. In the meantime, enjoy the slideshow Logan and I put together that looks back over the past 4 years. – dr. L

Hi,
Comment by Sara May 6, 2014 @ 3:41 amI don’t know if this is where we leave a general question but here it goes. I have been seeing a Chiropractor for a couple of weeks. I will say he is brilliant and I feel much better and truly have seen the results of what Chiropractic treatment can do. I also think that this particular Dr. is just giving me nuggets. I want to “graduate” if you will and I feel like only the minimum is being done and thus making me dependent. That is one issue. Here is my biggest and most troubling issue though. Twice he has used the electronic adjuster on my anus, one pulse on each of the two visits. Then he didn’t do it again. I asked his assistant what was being adjusted by that and she did not know but after I asked that he did not do it again. Then I confronted him with noting that his adjustments were not consistent and spoke to the different starting points I had noted each time. I got a long story and then you touched his fingers to my anus and went forward with the rest of the adjustment of my back. I did not go back again and called and asked him what is he doing with my anus. He mentioned the sacra-tuberous ligament. (not sure of spelling). I Googled it and spoke to another Chiropractor and do not see where this is a legitimate treatment or assessment. I have low back pain, L knee pain & severe neck pain but do not have any tailbone pain. Is this legitimate? If it is not what do I do? And how to I find a real Chiropractor in my area that has not “sold out” if you will?
Sara – Sorry you are having issues. The biggest red flag I see in your comment is that you and your chiropractor are NOT on the same page communication-wise as far as WHY he is doing what he is doing, what chiropractic is and what it is not, and what your expectation and goals are regarding your care. To give him the benefit of the doubt, he may have THOUGHT he was communicating what he was doing and why he was doing it, but you clearly, based on your comment, did not understand. To put your mind at ease, there are legitimate chiropractic techniques that utilize the sacrotuberous ligament. … Again, though, it all boils down to communication and a clear understanding of expectations. – Dr. Lamar
